Can she really do all of those things? I can and I have—solo and in collaboration with amazing in-house and external teams, depending on the strategy, goals, resources, and constraints. Enjoy a few examples below.
BRANDING | logo, colors, font, web
At Heron, I helped lead a comprehensive re-brand, including the name (formerly known as the F.B. Heron Foundation), logo, brand colors, fonts, and an entirely overhauled website—new sitemap, new pages, new voice, new blog.

HUMAN FLOURISHING: THE UNDER-APPRECIATED INVESTMENT INSIGHT

Making complex and sometimes dry topics some to life is one of my favorite aspects of this role. I was particularly proud of the introduction to this piece illustrating how human flourishing truly is an underappreciated investment insight.

How do you tell your investing story in a way that end clients can easily turn around and re-tell? In this piece I explained how Eventide seeks out long-term investment themes, in which companies thrive across all stages of the business cycle by serving important human needs.

Writing is one of my favorite skills, and one of those I've honed the most. Grammarly regularly tells me I have a broader vocabulary than 97% of users, which I find hilarious.

WHAT GORDON MOORE'S LEGACY CAN TEACH US ABOUT WHERE WE PUT OUR MONEY | FORBES

Op-eds require two workstreams: writing and placing. The more current and newsworthy your topic, and the more well-known your author, the easier to place. When you're just starting to turn the flywheel on your public relations strategy, placement can be more difficult, but you can smooth the transition through adroit use of relationships like, in this case, the Forbes Finance Council.

CONNECTING YOUR PASSION TO YOUR PORTFOLIO: JEFFERSONIAN DINNER EVENT (p:EventideDinner)

Eventide has a long-standing commitment to supporting financial advisors practicing values-based investing, including through client events. As the pandemic dragged on and clients got "zoomed out," I developed a Jeffersonian-dinner style event for financial advisors to help their clients and prospects connect with each other and their own deeply-held values—and go back out into the world with a short, powerful story to tell. This included event guidelines and checklists, invitations, prep emails, an event booklet and a video-style conversation guide (for which I was both the script writer and the on-screen "talent"!) . The response from advisors and clients has been absolutely tremendous.

Where is the line between spicy and cancelled? How to say something judicious but not bland? In this post we wanted to highlight a challenge in the ESG ratings industry in a way that didn't merely point fingers, but pointed toward a solution that better serves what ESG investors are truly seeking.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT | asana + more

I know how this sounds, but it's true: process optimization and project management is my jam—which is why and how I became an asana power user. Did you clap your hands when asana increased the limit from 20 to 50 rules to your project? Yeah... I did. Internal- and external-facing forms to automate workflows? I love it. I have even used asana to organize family and household tasks and needs. I've experimented with systems using so many tools and apps over the years--TeuxDeux, bullet journals, Evernote, Dropbox, Remember The Milk—it's a fun world for a color-coder and organized thinker!
WEBSITE | search engine optimization

The big question here is, are your ideal clients finding you on the web? Underneath is an entire tree of questions and goals--raising your Domain Authority score, increasing ranking for the right keywords, knowing which are the right keywords, and much more.

I DON'T WANT GREED TO DICTATE MY CAREER: AN HONEST INTERVIEW WITH A PR DIRECTOR (Spotify)
I had the privilege of being interviewed for the Meaningful Jobs podcast with Adrian Au. Adrian writes: "Deirdre has spent her career shaping the way businesses communicate and how they contribute to society. What sets her apart is her unwavering commitment to honesty and her belief that businesses can be a force for good if they prioritize ethics over greed." Find it also on Apple Podcasts and elsewhere.
AND EVERYTHING ELSE...

The above is just a small selection of what I've done and can do. I would love the opportunity to help you and your clients grow in influence and postive impact in the world.
